It is *only* an earthquake, not the boogeyman!

but, as the saying goes, "the end is not yet.
many people who were raised as jws, as i was, often find that unexpected claps of thunder or the distant roar of jet engines as planes come in for a landing cause them almost reflexively to think "armageddon?"..

my mother was actually jumping up and down this morning shouting excitedly that "Paradise is almost here!"
yeah she's nutty like that. Look, if you truly believe in this stuff, and it gives you the hope to keep on going, fine. Good for you. But she fails to realize that there was probably a lot of JWs among the dead and countless KHs washed away. I'm sure the JWs over there aren't cheering (unless they are as insane as my mother, which may be a possibility).
Anywho, what makes her so sure she's gonna get into "Paradise"? I mean, she didn't go to the meeting the other night because she was too tired from shopping at Kohl's.
To quote the evangelical grandmother from The Grapes of Wrath, "Praise Gawd fur da vic'try!!!"

Here's hoping everyone will stay safe! It's sad that some JDubs will be praising this as a sign that the end is near. It's also sad that the WTS uses this fear tactic so well.

I've been outed...
by brotherdan inso this weekend my wife had a major grand mal seizure for the first time in her life.
she was rushed to the er.
a few hours later while i was at her side she had another major one.. it was the scariest moment in my life.
